if crisis of conscience is one of the top watchtower doctrine killers, what is the coc of theism?.
i'd like to read a book, or other material that does the best job logically arguing for atheism.. i've not read any darwin, however it is my assumption that his focus is primarily on evolution, is this correct?

The he danger is when your wife questions him on his inactivity or outright disbelief. It will circle right back around to you sooner or later. Probably sooner. Be ready for that, could blow it all wide open but if that's what is going to happen, so be it.
You need to prepare sir. Prepare for fights with wife and family, confrontations with friends and elders. If it were you alone you could probably pull it off but with him involved... You have no control.
Reflect on on how fortunate you are that your son is awake! And prepare yourself for the fight of your life.

a few people from my jw past recently friended me on facebook and i accepted.
it was all good and we sent a few catching-up messages back and forth.
then i started seeing their newsfeed posts and it was just a bunch of memorial invite spam and nature photos with smug comments on how the chosen ones had paradise to look forward to.

there seem to be many prerequisites for life as we know it.. to name a few: order, function, compatibility, availability, sustainability, intelligence, consciousness, intuition and so on.. focusing on only one, namely order.. what are the chances of order arising spontaneously, by chance, with no creator/designer?.
i have often pondered this and recently came across a mathematical summary of the big picture:.
if every particle in the known physical universe (10^80 particles), participated in one trillion interactions (10^12 interactions) per second, for the entire 30 billion years of the universe's existence (10^18 seconds), then we would by now have covered only 10^110 permutations.. if you had only 100 components in a container, what are the chances that a blindfolded person could lay them out in order on a table?.
Fernando, you've started a good discussion but you got the entire premise wrong. Life on earth works on earth. If the earth were any different, and life had still begun, the earth would still be perfect for those life forms. You're looking at things backwards.
Order can and does arise from disorder, we see it in nature. That's exactly how biology works... Whatever doesn't work is eliminated, what we see now is the result of automatic processes which didn't need divine guidance.

for a number of years, our publications have explained that gog of magog is the name given to satan the devil after his ouster from heaven.
this explanation was based on the fact that the book of revelation identifies satan the devil as the leader of the worldwide attack on gods people.

So there's a question about whether people "believe" in cabin dating? I understand the WT has tried to shed some doubt on the process, in an attempt to show that history doesn't prove the bible to be inaccurate.. But he was the one who was surprised YOU believed in it? Never heard that one before.
I like your line of questioning. It could be adapted for a fader or "in" person to get someone to think. Some JWs like to try to prove that JWism aligns with the facts. These are great questions for those people.

We know the new halls aren't to accommodate growth... There is no growth to speak of in the US.

I've said it here before, I'll say it again. There are FAR more Islamic extremists in the world than we realize. Far more.
If 5% of Muslims could be convinced by extremists (very easily plausible) that's 80,000,000 potential Muslim militants. That's scary, even if they were just angry sheep herders with pick axes and shovels. But they're not. They're well funded and well equipped. And hugely supported.
And yet they targeted a cafe in Australia. That's all they've managed to pull off lately? Don't underestimate the effect our counter terrorist organizations on the leading countries of the world.
